The war against terrorism has around for a long time and to make things worse the terrorist organizations have gone international. Nigeria has also felt the brunt of these terrorists’ attacks as it suffers in the hands of the Islamic Terror group: BOKO HARAM. 


It is clear that the Nigerian Military lacks what it takes in terms of information and equipment to combat and defeat this group despite reports that our government spend billions of Naira in acquiring military equipment. Advanced countries like the United States have resorted to Information and Communications Technology as a tool for combating terrorism and terrorist attacks. 

This article focuses on how Information and Communications technology components can be used as a tool for combating terrorist attacks globally.
